DEC 7TH - BANGALORE SPEARHEADS ACTION

Bangalore is going ahead with some concrete plans. Not sure how practical they are but atleast they have plan. What are we doing in Mumbai? Still stupefied, is it? When will we take some action? Please read the whole thing and help me brainstorm this... Come speak up - Let me hear what you have to say !

People of Bangalore, on December 7th, 2008 are gearing up to peacefully set out from their homes, offices, schools, colleges, malls and shops and converge at Vidhana Soudha by 12noon, and demand the presence of Chief Minister Yeddyurappa and Home Minister V S Acharya, to put forth the following demands, threats and assertions -

1. If there is 1 more attack we boycott our schools, colleges, offices and professions till our safety is ensured. ( OH dear ! Don't ask for that. They will orchestrate another fake encounter to pacify you. Instead next time this happens let us just send all our MLA's and MP's to a lock-up... How is that?)

2. If there is 1 more attack we do not pay any taxes and fines (income taxes, service taxes, even sales taxes on petroleum and groceries). ( That's not practical either. We have to just ensure there is a greater accountability for the taxes we pay. On a humorous note, why don't we just give it all to the army and ask them to look after us?)

3. For every year that has a terror attack, we do not pay taxes and fines.4. Every minister's security detail is removed until all the terror attacks of 2008 have been investigated and verdicts handed out. ( I like that - Yes let them move around a little unsafe... Let them see how it feels!)

5. Our security forces are trained to world standards in 3 years, by pioneers in the field, from Israel, France and the United States. ( Hey dude, are you ready to give the army guys a little more for all they do? If there's no concensus there, you are asking for too much again...Do you realise the army is managing with far fewer men today ? Why? No one wants to join the army anymore)

6. NSG Commandos to be decentralised from Manesar, and 1 unit each to be present at 5 locations across India - North, South, East, West, Central. ( You know what will be more practical - That we make military training compulsory for all our youth. And we all irrespective of age and se, learn rappling and slithering. We also probably need to buy bullet proof jackets and keep them handy... and oh yes pepper sprays - we must carry them too... but not take it too far during a domestic discord!!!)

7. Every Minister with even a single charge of crime against his/her name to vacate office immediately and disbarment due to this condition be made binding for any candidate. (This is the first perfectly sensible statement made. We must also immediately get our names in the voter's list...I still haven't got mine even though I have been trying for the last two years.)

8. Every single entry point in to and exit point out of India (flights, road, trains, water vessels) to have severe and restrictive identity and security screening. Any discrepancy with any person to warrant immediate deportation to last port of exit. ( Bhaiya, what do you do when the canker is in the apple ?...some of this is being orchestrated from inside the country... We need to do a spring cleaning. But how is the question.)

We need a better set of demands, a more comprehensive POA. We must do something right away and ensure we are not taken for a ride yet again. Hey let's start talking about these things...write something. Give me your views here...
