Ok, so I’ve known her from just five years before
she’s my sister by law, but there’s more...
She was born in Helvetia, that would make her Swiss
But she’s a proud Indian, one shouldn’t miss !

A great mimic, she has many stories to tell
Her ideas make her somewhat of a rebel
She fell in love with a special army man
(which happened to be her parents game plan)

And so she became an Indian army wife
She’s there for her nation in peace or strife
She’s faced challenges, all with a smile
Rising to occasions above rank and file
She managed all alone when her baby was due
People like her, there are few.

She’s a woman of talents and skills
Wherever she goes, she can pay her own bills
Teaching kids, making designs for export deals
Writing stories and hosting fabulous meals
She’s a journalist, the colonel’s wife, a Mom
She juggles all her roles with aplomb

Her parents, brothers, cousins all
will tell you that she’s always on the ball...
Sorting out problems, listening with love,
Writing long letters, showing concern ,above all
So now can you see why it was important to share
