A POEM- The Missing Hue

Like a trickle in the sand
When moments are lost...

When precious minutes
Wrapped in the momentum
Mean no less, no more…

Squashed in eternity
A single beat of the heart
A look, a smile,
A wisp of a wish
Craft the weft and weave of life…

To turn aside a slip
When a single strand
Of fond remembrance
Is snapped
To prevent a ladder in life
A blotch erased,
Every note set to tune…

When life goes on
In waiting, wondering…
In strengthening ones hope
That the rush of violent, indigo,
Red and blue
In all their special hues
May end in a rainbow…

She looks for the lost essence
The smear that took an extra coat
To make the larger picture beautiful
The scraped thread,
The vanished note,
The missing hue,
For with each of them
She had wistfully
Lost a part of herself too

As a daughter of an army officer I think I can relate to this poem.Since even I sacrificed a lot when I moved each time, leaving my friends, school, opportinities behind to be with my dad whereever he took us.

The ones who deserve the gallantry awards arer the infantry wives who struggle from day to day to keep home and hearth together while the men are way.
